Here at Suck UK our lovely bunch of designers are always thinking of more conscious materials to use on our latest products. Sustainability is at the forefront of our designs, and that's why we're dabbling with China's latest and biggest export, Bamboo Fibre!  

Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on the planet, does not require replanting and is naturally pest resistant. On top of all this, it is 100% bio degradable. What's not to love! These lovely little shoots are helping us cut down on our plastic usage, and it's safe to say we're a big fan.

What Corking Products...

You guessed it, next on our list of more sustainable materials is none other than humble cork (and no I'm not even sorry for the earlier pun). Usually confined as the topper to your favourite bottle of wine, Cork is finally getting chance to reach it's full potential. We can't get enough of the stuff over at Suck HQ, with it being a key component of not one, but eight different products of ours. 

Cork is a highly sustainable material which is harvested without causing any harm or damage to the tree. Similarly to Bamboo Fibre, the tree is able to continue to grow and be used year on year. It requires very little processing, and is widely available due to it's current abundance.
