2018 - Our Year In Review
2018 - Full of royal weddings, Brexit and the year football almost came home. It's also been a big year for Suck UK, with a lot of new and exciting products, people and places explored. As it's new year (the perfect time to be reflective) here's our top 5 best bits of 2018:
1. Camden Calling
The year kicked off with a big move for us at Suck UK, leaving our long term home at Regent Studios in Hackney to start a new life up in North London. East is where it all began 20 years ago, but with each new year comes new opportunities. So began our new life at Camden Park Studios! Hidden away within a converted Church Hall, we have more space to create, grow, and enough room to place an 8ft Christmas tree. And that is exactly what we did! There's loads of brand spanking new stuff launching in 2019, and we can't wait to show you what we have in store. Keep an eye out for special product launches and insider info over the next coming weeks!
2. Dead Good Design
We're not usually ones to toot our own horn...but if not at new year, when can you!
2018 saw lots of fresh new designs take shape and launch worldwide: our Skull Scissors, Day and Night Clock and White Cork Globes to name a few. Our amazing Design Team have created and curated many products that we are very proud of, and there is a lot of newness to look forward to in 2019.
3. Along Came Dolly
Quickly becoming our favourite product tester, model and critic, Dolly has certainly become a bit of a celebrity around the office. Whether she's robbing paper out of the bin, barking at children or chewing your shoelaces, she's not one to be ignored.
What would 2018 have been without Dolly? Not half as fun that's for sure. Lets hope that 2019 brings a lot more dogs through the Suck UK door!
4. The Long Hot Summer
It may go down as the most glorious summer in history, with temperatures soaring to over 30 degrees, World Cup fever gripping the nation and our vitamin D levels reaching an all time high.
What product to best reflect the tropical climate and carnival vibes that summer 2018 evoked than the Flamingo Bottle Opener. The perfect companion for cracking open a cold one in the park, of uncorking your favourite beverages at a BBQ. Perfectly pink, there is no better bottle opener to get your summer party started. Here's hoping that summer 2019 is half as good!
5. A Good Bunch of Suckers
There's been a lot of change here at Suck UK headquarters over the past year, having both said goodbye to some special Suckers, and welcoming a lot of new members to the team. Entering into our 20th year, we're very grateful for all your support and what we've achieved so far. We're all very excited to see what the next year will bring, and we hope you are too.
